GHS Leadership Camp shoutout: In July, four students from Gulfport High School attended the RYLA Leadership Camp in Loranger, Louisiana. Maegan, Kennedy, T'yanna, and Lily represented the GHS Interact Club and acquired important skills to bring back to Gulfport High!

The Mississippi Department of Education has updated the state's student attendance requirements for the upcoming school year. Please review the graphic below for an overview of the updated attendance policy. Regular attendance is key to student success. Being present each day helps students stay engaged, keep learning, and make the most of every opportunity.

Seeing all of those big Viking smiles back on campus was the best reminder of why we love what we do. Our students are already locked in, learning, and filling the building with so much great energy—and we are so ready for an amazing year ahead!
The last 2 days have been full of smiling faces, some new and some familiar. The energy has been contagious as our Vikings filled the halls, met new teachers, reconnected with friends, and kicked off another incredible school year. We can’t wait to see all the learning, growth, and memories this year will bring. Here’s to an amazing year at Bayou View Middle School, bringing nothing but excellence 💙🧡
