Keyboarding On Line All Lessons 1 -38

Keyboarding on line  (KBOL) Lesson 38 is due Friday.

 

MONDAY - FRIDAY

 

Students will work online in Google Classroom.  Each student has assignments posted in GC.

 

We are working on the Unit Career Exploration.

 

 

Students will copm[lete the following assignments over the next two weeks.  Assignments will be posted in GC.

Section 1:   Complete the Career Interest Survey

Section 2:  Obtaining a Job Application

  1. Review Slides and take notes on your thoughts about each slide.
  2. Complete the packet entitled Effectively Obtaining and Completing a Job Application
  3. Part 1:  Read material and answer questions 
  4. Part 2: Read the material and answer questions and complete the job application in blue or black ink.
  5. Take the Assessment, Define the Key terms and complete the Word Search.

Section 3:  Think Like a Boss

  1. Critique Activity: Review the application and use a highlighter to select errors that you think could potentially hurt his chances of being called back for an interview.  Answer the questions on the critique form.
  2. Copy the application as yourself. Use Blue or Black Ink!  Complete the checklist.
  3. Have a friend, guardian or parent “Peer Edit” your application using the peer edit checklist.

Section 4:  Why is a Resume Important?

  1. Review Slides and take notes on your thoughts about each slide.
  2. Packet entitled Introduction To Resumes.
  3. Part 1: Fill out the Introduction to Resumes. 
  4. Part 2: Read the material and answer questions on a separate sheet of paper. 
  5. Analysis Chronological vs. Functional Resume
  6. Analysis Sally Pepper’s Resume
  7. Take the Assessment

Section 5:  Employable Skills

  1. Review Slides and take notes on your thoughts about each slide.
  2. Complete packet entitled The Skills Employers Desire
  3. Part 1: Fill out the Employable Skills. 
  4. Part 2: Read the material The Skills Employers Desire and answer questions on a separate sheet of paper. 
  5. Read the material titled Soft Skills, answer the questions
  6. Complete the material titled Employable Skills.
  7. Complete the material titled Soft Skills.
  8. Analysis Annie’s and Juan’s Employable skills.
  9. Take the Assessment, define the terms and complete the word search.
