My name is Jeannie Cook. I have lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast all my life. I grew up in Biloxi and attended Biloxi Schools. I have been married to Danny Cook for 33 years. I have two precious daughters, Shelby and Kelsey. I have a 5 year old grandson, a one year old grandson, and two granddaughters that are 3 years old.
I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I received my National Board Certification while teaching at Pass Road Elementary School where I taught for fifteen years. In 2009 I added my physical education certificate. I then moved to Bayou View Middle School for 8 years where I was the girl's PE coach, health teacher, girl’s track coach and GHS swim team coach. This is my 5th year at Bayou View Elementary as the PE coach.
I love to be involved in many extracurricular activities which consist of running, biking, hiking, and swimming. I have completed in various duathlons, triathlons, adventure races, and ultra marathons , and the Florida Ironman. I ran my first 100 mile race in March of 2021. I was a personal trainer at E-fitness for 5 years, as well as a lifeguard.
Fitness is a passion of mine, and I love to share this passion with others, young or old. Every day is another chance to get stronger, to eat better, to live healthier, and to be the best version of you. Be active, be healthy, and be happy. You never know how much more you can do until you try something more!
