As a product of the Gulfport School District, including Anniston Elementary School, I knew at a young age that I would love to work at Anniston like my mother and be a Gulfport High School coach like my father. After graduating from Gulfport High School, I went on to attend The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where I graduated with Highest Honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. In December of 2015, I earned a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology also from Southern Miss. Following graduation from Graduate School, I began working as the Speech-Language Pathologist at Anniston as well as coaching Gulfport High School cheerleading- I had happily followed in my parents’ footsteps and returned to my roots.

I am currently the Speech-Language Pathologist for grades K-5 at Anniston Elementary and the Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach for Gulfport High School. Additionally, I am pursuing a doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. I believe communicating with others and making connections is crucial to happiness and quality of life. I want my students to improve their communication skills so that they have the tools to continue building meaningful relationships throughout their lives, long after their time in elementary school ends.
