Hello! My name is Melissa Price, and I have the privilege of joining Anniston Elementary as the school counselor.

After earning my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Troy University, I began my career in Alabama as an elementary school teacher.  I later transitioned to a support role in elementary school counseling upon earning a Masters in School Counseling also from Troy University. I eventually served as a counselor at both the middle and high school levels before retiring.

This school year begins my fifth year with the Gulfport School District during which time I have served as a behavioral counselor in the Exceptional Services Department. While I have enjoyed working at each school, I am very excited to be returning to the elementary school level. I am looking forward to serving our community as a part of the AAE family as we begin what will be a GREAT school year. Go Tigers!
