Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Justin Jones

I'm Coach Justin Jones, and I am new to the coast!  I was born and raised in North Mississippi and attended Saltillo High School. I graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College and then went on to the Mississippi University for Women (I know, I know), where I received my bachelor's degree.  I would later complete my master's degree at Arkansas State University.  My last 14 years have been spent teaching and coaching football in Olive Branch, Mississippi.  My last seven years were spent at Olive Branch High School, where I served as co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach and world history teacher.  Prior to my time there, I was at Center Hill High School across town for seven years.

I married my college sweetheart, Hilary, and we have a little boy named Cameron.  We are a football family, and you will hear my wife getting loud on Friday nights!  When I'm not on the practice field or at the office, though, we enjoy attending or watching Ole Miss football games.

My other major passion is history, and I find myself the most intrigued by the topics of the French Revolution and World Wars.  When I started college, however, I orginally planned on entering the medical field. I actually completed two semesters of nursing school, and one of our clinical rounds was even spent helping on the coast during Hurricane Katrina.  Ultimately, however, I knew something was missing.  I loved the school environment and didn't want to leave it.  As a history lover, football nerd, and people person, I knew teaching and coaching was perfect for me.  Doing this job allows me to pursue all my passions, so I consider myself to be very blessed.

Thanks for welcoming me as my family starts our new adventure!  I look forward to what the future holds at Gulfport High School.  Anchor Down!
