My name is Michael Goodwin, I am blessed to be the principal of Alternative Programs (The Learning Center [TLC]). I have a Bachelor of Behavioral Science (Ashford University) and a Master of Education degree (William Carey University). Additionally, I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi, Principal Corps, where I earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am also a retiree of the United States Air Force (USAF). As a USAF instructor, at the Noncommissioned Officer Academy, I grew a love for education and teaching.
I have been privileged to enter my first year in the Gulfport School District (GSD). Prior to this role, I was a history educator and coach for several years. Now, as an administrator working for and with GSD's educational team, I have been afforded the opportunity to function as a servant leader to ensure ”Every Decision. What is Best For Children? Every Time."
