¡Hola! I'm Mrs. Ruiz, and I'm the Immersion Spanish teacher. I'm from Puerto Rico, but I have been living in Mississippi since 2016. In 2015, I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy with a minor in French. In 2020, I earned my master's degree in the Teaching of Languages with emphases in Spanish and TESOL from the University of Southern Mississippi, and in 2021 I obtained a graduate certificate in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university. I am certified to teach grades k-12, and my endorsement areas are Spanish, English as a Second Language, and French.

Besides my passion for teaching and languages, I enjoy reading, singing, watching movies, and having a good cup of coffee! I also love spending time with my family, especially with my sweet daughter!
