Hello Parents,

I am so excited to go on this new journey called Middle School with you! Thank you for sharing your student with me and allowing me to be their math teacher. This year is my fifth year teaching middle school math, and I could not be more excited that it is at GCMS. I came into the education field later than most teachers. I originally majored in accounting at Tennessee Tech University. However, after spending some time in an office, I realized that wasn’t for me. So I decided to return to a calling I felt years ago, and I attended William Carey University where I received my alternate route teaching license. I love that I can bring my real world experience as a business person and accountant into the classroom at GCMS!

Math is everywhere around us, and I look forward to bringing as many real world applications into the classroom as I can. I love the energy that students bring to a classroom when they know that we will be discussing something that they can apply to real life.
