• What do I need to register my child?

    Requirements for New Student Registration:

    A Mississippi Certificate of Immunization Compliance Form (obtained at the Health Department, C.B. Base, Keesler Air Force Base, or private physician)

    Certified copy of Birth Certificate (not a hospital certificate)

    Report cards and/or other records of grade placement

    Student Social Security number

    Verification of residency

    Must provide 2 forms of proper documentation. One form of documentation must be a utility bill or a rent receipt.  The second form can be one of the following:  filed Homestead Exemption application form, mortgage documents or property deed, apartment or home lease, automobile registration, or housing assignment from C.B. Base 

    Guardianship

    Legal guardians must provide a copy of the most recent court order, signed by a judge, appointing them as legal guardian. 

    Requirements for Returning Students:

  • How does morning arrival work?

    Bus riders are dropped off at the north exit. They enter building and at 6:55 are escorted to cafeteria to eat breakfast. Car riders are dropped off at the West entrance of the school beginning at 6:55 am.

  • How does afternoon dismissal work?

    The ringing bell at 2:25 indicates the end of the school day. Bus riders are dismissed to their appropriate bus at the north exit of the school. Car riders are dismissed to the West exit of the school Please wait patiently as each child is loaded into thier car.

  • What is rainy day dismissal?

    Posted by:

    Rainy day dismissal concerns students who walk home from school. On rainy days, walkers will be sent to the front of the school building. They will not be allowed to walk home in the rain for their safety. Please come pick your student up at the front entrance of West Elementary at 2:25pm on rainy days. If you are unavailable to pick your student up, please make plans for them to get home safely.

     The school phone number is 228-870-1025. Please leave a message, and your teacher will return your call.
