Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Rhonda Hepler
My name is Rhonda Hepler. I live in d’Iberville with my amazing husband, Mark. We have 5 children, 4 sons and 1 daughter, and 13 grandchildren. In my spare time I love sewing, crafting, and quilting.
I was born and raised just south of Jackson in Copiah County, MS. I earned my BS in Elementary Education, Magna Cum Laude, from Belhaven University in Dec 1999. In January of 2000, I began my first teaching job at Hazlehurst Elementary, as a 1st grade teacher. I completed my M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Belhaven University in the summer of 2002. After attending the Center for Montessori Education in the summer of 2003, I was a co-teacher in a Montessori 6-9 environment in Jackson Public Schools. My 18 years of teaching experience has included K5, 1st, 2nd, 6th,7th, 8th, and a Montessori 6-9-year-old environment.
Teaching is my calling, not just a job. I am excited to be teaching 1st grade at 28th Street Elementary. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store.
I believe you are never too old to stop learning. I have plans to begin working toward National Board Certification in the very near future.
