Hello, parents and students! Welcome to 1st Grade!

My name is Savannah Poirrier (pronounced POR-ee-ay), and this is my fifth year teaching, third year at CE! I am a GHS graduate, and it is my personal mission to give back to the schools, school district, and community that encouraged me to be who I am today.

I was born and raised in Gulfport, but I lived for 4 years in the Jackson area. I attended Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, and I graduated in May 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I also received a remedial reading endorsement and I have had basic dyslexia therapy training. During my time in Jackson, I experienced many different school cultures, and I believe that my training has effectively prepared me to inspire students here in Gulfport.

I know this school year will be one of the best ones yet! I cannot wait to start our adventure!
