Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year.

It is my pleasure to be teaching your child while he/she attends The Virtual Academy.

I have taught in some capacity since 2002, whether in traditional classrooms, adult education courses, or GED night classes. I am happy to say I found a welcoming home at Gulfport School District in 2009, and an even closer-knit family at The Learning Center in 2011. This year marks my first year in virtual learning. 

My goal at The Virtual Academy is to facilitate and guide your child's learning experience in a safe, open, and inviting online environment. My overall hope for every student is that he gains a better understanding of himself and his world through our writing, reading, and discussions.
