Welcome parents and students, we are about to to the second 9 weeks of the 2018-2019 school year.
This week of 11/12/18-11/16/18 we will be be moving into new areas of the corriculum and more Lab Based work.
Engineering 2 students will be moving into the modern manufacturing unit of our corriculum. In this unit the students will learn how to take an 3D model from SolidWorks and bring it to life using either 3D printing, CNC machining, or Laser cutting/engraving or a combination of these machines. This will be accomplished by students working in groups to make custom tables for our fundraisers. This week the students will begin to prepare their designs to actually start the manufacturing process.
Engineering 1 students will remain in the Computer Aided Design and Drafting portion of the corriculum, but will now transition to being able to show the interaction of multiple single parts joining together to form complex assemblies. This week the students will be CADD to design and then to 3D print gears for the clock they are making in class.
10 Students have still not paid the lab fee. Students that have not paid lab fees will not be allowed into the lab. Which will significantly impact their grades.
