Our Mission
Inspire each student to become a problem solver, lifelong learner, and productive member of society.
Our Goals
Offer extensive opportunities to each student in their least restrictive environment, so we are able to fulfill our mission as outlined in each eligible student's Individualized Education Plan.
The Gulfport School District offers a full continuum of services for students with disabilities in these areas: Autism, Deaf-Blind, Developmentally Delayed, Emotional Disability, Hearing Impairment, Language or Speech Impairment, Intellectually Disabled, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Visually Impaired. Qualified teachers, therapists, and trained support personnel strive to offer the most appropriate programs for each student.
Our school district participates in an on-going statewide effort to identify, locate, and evaluate children through age twenty-one who are physically, mentally, communicatively and/or emotionally disabled.
