*Remember you must pre-register for classes! No registrations will be taken the first night of class. Seating is limited in most classes so register early & don't miss out!
¤ Classes are non-refundable. However, if your class is canceled by Community Ed, then a full refund will be issued.
HVAC/R CERTIFICATION- This intensive three week course will prepare you for the HVAC/R certification exam. The Section 608 Refrigeration Recycling Rule-part of the Clean Air Act in 1990-requires that all technicians performing service, maintenance, or disposal of equipment that could release refrigerants (e.g., CFCs) into the atmosphere become certified by an EPA-approved organizations and pass a test. Upon completion and passing the Section 608 certification exam, students will be issued a certification and a EPA certification card will be mailed directly to the student. Testing is done on premises. Fee=185.00 Universal certification exam and textbook included. Will need a government issued picture ID on test night.
Tuesdays/Thursdays 9/14-9/30 6-9 pm GHS Room 626 3 weeks*Please note: This class is to prepare you for the exam. You need to be presently working in this field or have general knowledge of it.HVAC/R Re-test- Will retest on Thursday, 10/28/21. Must pre-register here or at the office before test date. Testing will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Please be on time- once the door closes testing begins and you won't be able to enter. You will need to bring a government issued picture ID (Drivers license, military, passport). Testing will be done at the Comm. Ed. Bldg. located on the Gulfport High campus. (behind the Sonic) Fee= 40.00 Re-testing must be done within one calendar year of original test.Register Now!
