• Money Matters - FALL 2021 

    EFFECTIVE MONDAY, AUG 2. 2021: All employees and students are required to wear a face mask. This will include Community Education. 


    Registration Procedure:

    You must register online using a credit/debit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover). Click on the class you want to register for. Our new online system is more user friendly & easier to navigate. Just follow these simple steps:

    You will then fill out the requested information on our secure servers. If you get stuck or have any questions, give us a call at 228.896.7622 and we'll be happy to walk you through it.
     

    *Remember you must pre-register for classes! No registrations will be taken the first night of class. Seating is limited in most classes so register early & don't miss out!     


    ¤ Classes are non-refundable. However, if your class is canceled by Community Ed, then a full refund will be issued. 
     

    STOCK & OPTION TRADING FUNDAMENTALS- Students will learn the basics of stock market trading and exchange floor fundamentals including how stocks are traded on the various market exchanges.  Fee= 59.00   CLOSED!

    SMALL BUSINESS 101- Deciding to start a business is an exciting moment, but for new entrepreneurs, that excitement is often accompanied by uncertainty, anxiety, and doubt. Topics include regulations such as licenses and permits, city/county requirements, insurance and tax information, and business zoning. This course is designed to help you master day-to-day operations and run your business like a boss.  Fee= 59.00  Workbook Fee= 20.00  CLOSED!

    NOTARY PUBLIC- A notary public is considered a public officer appointed by a state government. The primary job duty of a notary is to help prevent fraud by witnessing the signing of documents and verifying their authenticity. In this one day workshop you will learn all the steps needed to become a notary public. Participants must at least 18 years of age, be a resident of Mississippi for at least 30 days, and you cannot have a criminal background.  Fee= 47.00  (Pls bring $5.00 cash to have your paperwork notarized by instructor. You will then mail in forms to be registered with the state) *Also, you will need a government issued picture ID for the notarization. This can be a MS state ID card, driver's license, military ID. Lab fee= 10.00   CLOSED!
