• Arts/Crafts/Hobbies Courses - FALL 2021 

    EFFECTIVE MONDAY, AUG 2. 2021: All employees and students are required to wear a face mask. This will include Community Education.
     

    Registration Procedure: 

    You must register online using a credit/debit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover). Click on the class you want to register for. Our new online system is more user friendly & easier to navigate. Just follow these simple steps:

    *Remember you must pre-register for classes! No registrations will be taken the first night of class. Seating is limited in most classes so register early & don't miss out! 

    ¤ Classes are non-refundable. However, if your class is canceled by Community Ed, then a full refund will be issued.

     

    ARTS/CRAFTS CLASSES

    HGTV Home Town recently featured Jo, weaving a fibre rush headboard for a restored home in Laurel, MS. To view the show, query for HGTV Home Town -- Inspired by the Sea episode.

    new CHAIR WEAVING- Weave a new seat in that old family chair and bring it back to life. Course will cover traditional weaving with split, cane, pressed cane, and fiber rush. Bring your chair or stool or contact instructor, if you need help finding a chair.     DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY IThis class is for DSLR cameras only. A hands-on class designed for the beginning SLR (the lens can be removed and replaced) camera user. In this class you will learn how your camera works, including aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and many other functions on your camera including how to connect to your PC and some basics in taking digital pictures. Bring your fully charged camera and manual. Fee= 60.00

    new STAINED GLASS I- Learn the basics of stained glass in this introductory hands-on class! Classes are taught in a workshop environment enabling classroom and individual instruction. Each student will learn the skills to complete two projects. No previous experience with glass is required. Basic tool kit = $70.00.  Additionally, project materials for each project will be available at the start of each project. Approximate cost is $15 per project. Registration Fee= 65.00 (Tool Kit and 1st project costs paid at first class). CLOSED!

Registration fee= $65.00 Lead Came tool Kit = $50.00 Additionally, project materials for each project will be available at the start of each project. Approximate cost is $20 per project.
