As a proud graduate of Gulfport High School, I could not be more excited about being home! After GHS, I obtained my A.A. in Criminal Justice from M.G.C.C.C. Next, I completed a B.S. in Biological Science and minored in Chemistry at U.S.M. and my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from William Carey. My current educational pursuit is a PhD in STEM Education at U.S.M. I was a recipient of the Leo Seal Innovative Teacher Award in 2016 and 2023, participated in the Teacher Leader Institute at William Carey in 2016, and received the Ingall's Shipbuilding STEM grant in 2024. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and hope that I show all of my students that learning is fun.
Science is my passion and I am excited to be teaching chemistry and physical science this year. My goal is for each student to discover the joy of studying science and also to undestand the importance of being good stewards of our natural resources!
