Miss Kristensen

My name is Ms. Aleana Kristensen, and I have the privilege of introducing myself as the new Teacher of the Deaf for Gulfport Schools this year! I am a recent graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi, with a degree in Deaf Education & ASL an a minor in Child Studies. Through my student teaching I have worked diligently with students of all ages (K-12) providing supportive services, resources, and technological ideas. I want to keep open connection with my students, parents, and staff so that I can better prepare students in the classroom and help them grow towards a successful future!

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy the arts: music, paintings, sculptures, etc. I am also a fan of traveling and exotic foods, I hope to visit several different islands and countries before the age of 50! I enjoy the simple things in life, and you can probably catch me in the gym catching a workout or at the beach with a good book.

I am thrilled to start my teaching career with Gulfport School District, and I hope to bring an exciting new charisma and energy to my homeschool Anniston Avenue Elementary!

All in Good Faith,

Ms. Aleana Kristensen
