Greetings Gaston Point Elementary School Parents,

          My name is Tracy Jackson. I will be replacing Dr. Wanda Bradley as Principal of Gaston Point Elementary School. I am a lifelong resident of Gulfport and a product of the Gulfport School District. I have worked in education for fourteen years ranging from a teacher’s assistant to my current position as principal. I am very excited about working with you and your child as we embark upon a new school year.

          I would like you to consider Gaston Point Elementary your child’s home away from home; therefore, we have adopted a motto “Excellence is not only expected, but it is also required.” Our mission is to ensure that your child becomes a critical thinker, lifelong learner, and a productive member of society. As the new principal, I promise to expect excellence from both your child(ren) and my staff to ensure that we meet the demands of our mission.

      My staff and I will promote and facilitate learning opportunities that will spark critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity along with inspiring your child to be a lifelong learner and productive member of society. Every child will be successful everyday in some manner. Please remember, we are all in this together.
