  I.        AVAILABILITY

                        A.  Hours

                              1. Monday, Tuesday  7:45-4:00

                              2. Wednesday-Friday 7:45-3:30

                        B.  Entrances

                             1.  East and West

                             2.  North and South - emergency exits only

                             3.  West entrance used during lunch (third block)

                                     exception - may use East door when raining

                        C.  Students must have pass  when coming from class

                        D.  Students must sign in and out at circulation desk

                        E.  Supplies / Change

                             1.  Supply list posted in library and teacher bulletin boards

                             2.  Change ONLY for library business (supplies, copy machine)

 

 II.        GUIDELINES

                        A.  Computer Login

                             1. Signed District Acceptable Use Policy (return to GHS front office)

                             2. User name:  student last  name and last four digits of  Social Security number

                             3. Password:  student District ID number

                        B.  Guidelines for circulation of print materials

                             1.  3 items per student / 3 weeks circulation period

                             2.  Renew books once

                             3.  Return books to book drop/return (circulation desk)

                        C. Accelerated Reader

                              1. AR books have green dots

                              2. Two AR books checked out

                              3. Cheating / Honor Code

                        D.  Lost/damaged materials

                             1.  $2.00 for damaged barcodes

                             2.  Fee accessed for damaged items

                             3.  Current price for lost book

                        E.  Overnight materials

                             1.  Reference and other special materials due by the following day

                             2.  Periodicals and vertical file items limited

                        F.  Non-circulating materials

                             1.  Current periodicals and newspapers

                             2.  Select reference items

                             3.  AV materials

 

III.       DISCIPLINE

A.    Handbook policies enforced

                             1.  Excessive talking

                             2.  Disrespect for library staff and peers

                        C. Behavioral management plan

                              1.  No eating or drinking 

                              2.  Dress code violations

                              3.  Book bags placed on tables at each entrance
