Sandra Wilks

| Sandra Wilks is a native of South Louisiana. She received
her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Nicholls State
University in Thibodaux, Louisiana in 1982. She received her Master’s
Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Southern
Mississippi in Long Beach, Mississippi in 2002. Mrs. Wilks taught First
Grade and Fifth Grade for 9 ½ years in Louisiana and was also a 4-H leader
for 7 of those years. A couple of years after moving to the coast with her family in 1992, she taught First Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade at Anniston Avenue Elementary in Gulfport, Mississippi. Mrs. Wilks taught at Anniston for 7 years before becoming the Assistant Principal at Bayou View Elementary in 2003. She was the Assistant Principal until June 2005 when she was named Principal of Bayou View Elementary. Sandra has been married to her husband, Randy, for 26 years and they have two daughters; Jessica, 20, who is a junior at Mississippi College, and Randi, 17, who is a senior at Gulfport High School. |
