FALL 2010 Courses

Registration Procedures

Register now for classes starting Aug. 23, 2010! Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm. You may register by phone (228.896.7622 or 228.896.7572) with credit/debit card or stop by our office (2014 Pass Rd., Room 332, Gulfport) and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you. Checks should be made payable to Community Education. Returned checks will be assessed a $40 service fee. No cash please. Registrations are processed in the order they are received and class fee must be paid in full. You must pre-register for classes.

  • Courses are open to participants 18 years or older unless otherwise specified.

*Note: If the class you are interested in has been filled, you may request to be put on a waiting list and we will try to set up a second class.

Refund Policy

All courses are non-refundable. No transfers. However, we will refund tuition or issue you a credit if a class is cancelled by Community Education or when a request has been validated by the Director. There will be a 10% processing fee for withdrawal. No refund can be granted on or after the first day of class.

We cannot guarantee that all courses listed will be available when you register, and we reserve the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient enrollment or other conflicts. If your course is cancelled, you may select another course or receive a refund. An attempt will be made to notify you by phone when it is necessary to cancel a course.

Class Locations

BVE - Bayou View Elementary is located at 4898 Washington Ave. The gym is located on the east side of the campus.
GHS - Gulfport High School is located at 100 Perry St.
PRE - Pass Road Elementary is located at 37 Pass Rd. The gym is located on the south side of the building on Maple Dr., across from the Youth Court Building.
TC - Gulfport High School Technology Center is located at 100 Perry St. (on the west side of GHS)
CE - Community Education Bldg. is located at 2507 21st Ave.

Textbook Policy

Textbooks must be purchased prior to the first night of class. Books will issued the first night of class. No textbooks will be sold during class.

Internet Acceptable Use Policy

The Gulfport School District is required to comply with guidelines handed down by the State Dept. of Education. Each user must sign the Internet User Policy prior to the start of any computer course. Regardless of whether or not your computer course will use the Internet, you will still need to sign a policy. Signatures will be acquired the first night of class. User will be given an ID number which will be needed in order to log onto our system. This pertains strictly to classes held in our computer labs.
