Acrylic Painting - Let out the artist in you! Learn composition, color mixing and brush stroke techniques. Acrylics are water-based paints which are extremely versatile and fast-drying. Fee= 60.00  Supply list available here

Brushes: 1/2" flat bristle or sable
               3/4" flat bristle or sable
               #8 round bristle or sable
               #1 or #2 liner, or rigger

Medium:  Water is available in classroom
                Acrylic gel medium

Canvas:  Choose between stretched canvas, canvas boards, OR canvas pad
               of 10 sheets

Other Supplies:  Paper towels or cloth rags
                          Container for water (empty tuna cans work well)
                          #2 pencil
                          disposable palette (Styro plates)
                          table easel
                          protective table cover
                          palette knife

Beading Essentials- You will be given step-by-step instructions on different beading techniques. You will take home four completed projects.   Fee= 45.00  Supplies: 25.00 -Paid to instructor first day, cash only. Kit includes all materials and tools needed. (Additional tools, beads, and wire will be available at extra cost).

Jewelry: Wire Wrapping- Students will learn the fundamentals of different types of wire for wire working, how to use tools, and will complete at least 2 projects.  Fee= 45.00  Supplies: 30.00 -Paid to instructor first day, cash only. Please bring wire cutters, round nose pliers, and nylon covered flat nose pliers.

Digital Photography I- A hands-on class designed for the beginning digital camera user. Learn how your camera works, including aperture, shutter speed, white balance and many other functions on your camera, how to connect to your PC, and some of the most important basics in taking digital pictures.  Bring your camera and manual. Please make sure your camera is charged before each class. All digital cameras are welcomed!  Fee= 60.00

Extreme Couponing 101- Using these easy coupon strategies, you will learn how to save hundreds of dollars on your yearly grocery bill! Please bring a 1"-2" three-ring binder.  Fee= 25.00

Floral Design
- Learn the techniques the professionals use to make extraordinary arrangements. Learn to do seasonal floral arrangements, room and table decorations. Never have the same class twice! Fee= 55.00  Supplies= 60.00- Paid to instructor first night, cash only.

Hooked on Crochet I-  A beginning course designed to give each student a basic understanding of crocheting and the ability to create items of their own design or by following a pattern without instruction. Fee= 47.00 Supplies: 1 skein of Red Heart worsted weight yarn; solid, bright color (not variegated), one crochet hook, size I

Knitting In Color- Whether you are a beginner or an established knitter, this class is for you! Using circular knitting needles, we'll learn the basics of knitting flat pieces as well as how to use the "Magic Loop" technique to knit tubular pieces like hats, sleeves, or socks! We will also explore a few techniques for knitting with two or more colors.  Fee= 47.00  Supplies: 15.00 (Paid to instructor first night, cash only). Please bring scissors and one skein of smooth worsted or sport-weight yarn in two different colors of your choice. (not variegated)

Register now for Community Education classes. Classes start the week of February 27, 2012. You may register by phone with Discover, MasterCard or Visa (credit/debit), or stop by our office and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you (check or money order). Checks should be made payable to Community Education. Returned checks will be assessed a $40 service fee. Registrations are processed in the order they are received and class fee must be paid in full.
