Gulfport School District is no longer
offering GED testing or GED classes. However, evening classes will be
held at our location (2507 21st Ave.) in Gulfport. These classes are
offered through MGCCC.

is the GED?
GED= General Educational Development
The GED diploma is recognized by most businesses, schools, government
agencies, and the military.

employers consider GED graduates the same as traditional high school

seniors would pass this series of GED Tests.
What does the GED
Test consist of?
The test consist of five parts:
Math, Language Arts/Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Language
Arts/Reading.
Each of the five tests uses a multiple-choice question format. In
addition, every GED candidate must also satisfactorily complete a timed
essay on an assigned topic in order to pass the GED Tests.
