Transition to Algebra

bulletCourse Description:
Transition to Algebra is a course to overlap Pre-Algebra and the abstract concepts of Algebra I and Geometry.  This course will be activity-based, allowing students to explore and investigate algebraic and geometric concepts to build a stronger foundation of basic skills.  Such explorations should emphasize physical models, data, graphs, and other mathematical representations in appropriate situations that facilitate the learning process.  This course is designed for those students who have completed Pre-Algebra and desire an alternative approach before taking Algebra I.  This is a one-credit course.
